College of computer was established in 1426 H (2005) with Computer Science department in order to serve the higher education needs in Qassim Region, KSA. The Computer Engineering department started in 1430 H (2009). Since then the college has gained successful experiences and pioneered many established systems and traditions in the Kingdom at the academic level.

The College played a pioneering role in educating female students using the most sophisticated methods. The college has opened the female students' sector at the same year when it opened the male students' sector. Due to religious and cultural practice, these two sectors are separated and housed on different buildings. However, both share common academic programs and requirements.

The college now provides students with the opportunity to join the educational specializations through two programs, the Computer Engineering and Computer Science programs. In these programs, the college accept numbers of fee-paying students. Students enrolled on this program are treated in as regular students, studying according to the approved schedules and course structures and subject to the High education ministry rules and regulations.

All students entering the college as undergraduates, study a common preparatory year of two semesters. The preparatory year is treated as a part of the student’s official study program offered in two different categories: humanities and sciences. After completing the preparatory year by the end of the second semester, students join their various disciplines.

The college is improving on public visibility across the Kingdom. It is also increasing visibility among academic communities. Efforts are also being made to increase visibility though the press and Web. In recognition of visibility importance, college has embarked on a project to realize a better image in the context of its Strategic Plan.

College of computer is a forward-looking college as is evident through the commitment of its dedicated academic leaders, faculty members and staff sharing the responsibility of coherence of curriculum, integrity of academic process, and the continuous improvement of the college. The pursuit of college’s vision and mission, serving the community through excellence in education, science, drives the college to achieve competitiveness, national prominence and visible international presence.
